Sleep in comfort - surrounded by nature.

Choose from five sites on the Island, each with its own charm.

Every site is nestled amongst the trees, and right by the water.

There are four luxury tents and one tiny home to choose from.

Sleeping Sites

We have 6 permanent sleeping sites: 2 prospector tents, 3 A-cabins, and 1 tiny home, as well as several spots perfect for setting up your extra tent.

Although the entire Island is interconnected with a system of trails to make it easy to find your way to the common areas, each sleeping site is private: completely your own, including waterfront deck and sanitary facility.

All 6 sites are a mere few steps from the lake, so you have your own little private spot right on the water.  You’ll find a deck with chairs and a small table to enjoy your morning coffee, do some reading, and enjoy the stars in the evening.  Each site is supplied with candles and a solar light system with a plug-in for smartphones.  We also have a hammock at each site, and a fire pit with firewood ready to go.

The Prospector Tents

The prospector tents are set on wood platform floors. The tents have been supplied by  Tenting in Luxury from Timmins, Ontario, tent suppliers for other high-end glamping resorts such as Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island.  The tents are crafted using natural canvas and are water, mold resistant and fire retardant.  The canvas allows the tent to ‘breathe’ so you can have a real ‘tenting’ experience, while being fully protected from the elements.  Inside the tents you will find a queen or king bed on a Persian rug, a table with chairs, a reading chair, and a few other pieces of furniture.

The A-Cabins

If you’re not sure about sleeping in a tent, our A-Cabins are made for you! A-frame buildings set on wood platform floors, our small (108 square-foot) 3-season cabins are new for 2023, designed exclusively for The Glamping Island. They feature a loft with queen bed, a slide out section to double the living area with a twin daybed, a table with a few chairs, and a comfy chair for reading.

The Tiny Home

Another option for those who are tent-uncertain, our cute and cozy Tiny Home is a converted fish hut! At only 8’x12’, it’s ideal for two. There is a queen bed with room to add 1 small cot, a small kitchen area with a few cupboards, and a pull-up table with bench seats.

Temporary Campsites

We have a few locations with wooden platforms on which we can install smaller camping tents (which we can provide) with air mattresses or cots.  This would typically be used for larger groups when everyone can’t quite fit at the more permanent sleeping areas.  These temporary sites are located toward the centre of the island, a little more protected from wind.

Sanitize in comfort.

The Glamping Island offers a variety of unique sanitary facilities.

Using a combination of solar power, water from the lake, and natural filtering systems, we are able to offer very simple but clean and natural facilities to meet basic needs.

Bathrooms/Outhouses

We have designed our bathrooms using different concepts from the traditional outhouse to composting toilets.  Each of our 5 bathrooms has a small sink with running cold water supplied from the lake.   The bathroom closer to the Big Rock tent has hot water.  We have one main outhouse that is located closer to the main pavilion and kitchen.  There is also a bathroom close to every individual site.

The Shower

During the summer most people will simply swim and wash themselves in the lake.  We have, however, one shared shower centrally located close to the kitchen.  The shower has cold and hot water.  Beside the shower, we have a large bathroom sink with cold and hot water which is great for shaving.   On The Glamping Island we use only biodegradable soaps and shampoo (provided in every bathroom and shower).
